Sorry I didn't post earlier.  Yeah, our Weds get-together was really great and I definitely want to be there again tomorrow night except that I'm participating in the community service option and don't know about what time I'll be off. I'm in section B1 and, frankly, I don't know whether that's a good thing or not. And my e-mail is yp_7205@hotmail.com. If anyone wants to contact me for anything, I'm here.

Some schools don’t even have priority waitlists, yet they take from the waitlist quite a bit. If you are on a priority waitlist, you have an even better chance of getting in. Good luck! 8

Those were the two schools I trully considered. I ended up choosing BU because of portability - I've talked to several lawyers in Seattle and they assured me that I'd have no problem finding a job with a BU degree. Doing the same on the East Coast just seems self-evident... UW, on the other hand, is a local school from what I gather...

How the hell do you know that??? Here you go again with your thoughtless and stupid conjectures... The point is: BU's median salary is at the BigLaw level. Thus, about 50% of the class have a good shot at BigLaw. 23% of the class end up at NYC. When you take self-selection into account, you should realize that something like the top 40% of the class should be able to go into NYC BigLaw if they want to. Also, the OP said nothing about NYC BigLaw, only work in NYC. I think it’s safe to say that you can get an NYC job with a BU Law degree. 10

Is it pissing you off that a good school admitted a person with sub-par numbers or something? Or is something else eating you morons? You got on my nerves long before your acceptance to NYU... Someone who hasn’t been on this board long enough might actually think you know what you’re talking about, while the truth is all you have to offer are thoughtless conjectures and assumptions!
