Anyone else in section B1 too?  They sent e-mails out today.

Hi everyone!

I'll be at Pitt too.  I'll be commuting so I'm not much help on where to live, but I know Shadyside is a nice/convenient area.

Is anyone else going to the Pirates game on 8/15?  One of the other students started to put something together for us on the Pitt online chat last month.

I have the following for sale:

Logical Reasoning Bible & Logic Games Bible
Both bibles are in good condition, have some highlighting.

LSAT Prep Tests 29-38, 48 & 49.  These are all new, no writing/markings.

Anna Ivey's Guide to Law School Admissions. This book is in like new condition.

Please PM me if interested.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Pitt vs. Duquesne

I did end up choosing Pitt for all the reasons that were mentioned.  I think the thing that drew me to Duquesne was that I liked the people, the atmosphere & the students, but I knew deep down that Pitt was a better choice.  Thanks for all your input.

Where should I go next fall? / Pitt vs. Duquesne

Need to make a descision today & I'm still on the fence.  I'm leaning towards Pitt since it is ranked higher, but I am not getting any $$ there.  Duquesne offered $10K per year & the lower debt load is tempting.

Any advice?

Where should I go next fall? / 3.44/159 Chances?

Pitt is my first choice & both LSAT & GPA are at the median.  Should I apply now to get the app in early or retake in Dec.?  What are my chances?

I think I could do better in Dec., but won't have a lot of time to prepare with finals coming up so I don't know it a retake is worth it.

Please advise.

Law School Applications / Apply now or retake LSAT?
« on: October 21, 2006, 01:15:20 PM »
I need help deciding whether to apply now and get my app in early or retake the Dec. LSAT.  My Sept. LSAT was 159 and my GPA is 3.44 which are both in the average range for my first choice school.  Here is the issue, if you are accepted and have at least a 161 on the LSAT and a 3.4 or better you are guaranteed $10,000 towards tuition which is a big deal to me.

I am torn on whether to get the advantage of applying early, then retaking the Dec. test and hoping I qualify for the $$ or just waiting until after the Dec. test to apply when I am pretty sure I will have a better score.

Also, I don't want to seem whiny, but I know the reason that I did poorly is because  Thursday night before the test my car got rear-ended pretty bad, I got hurt and I wasn't feeling anywhere near 100%.  Is there any way to address this in an addendum or should I just suck it up and not mention it?
