I'm in the same boat with Dayton.  Not sure I'll get off the wait list of my other choice.  I've heard Dayton is decent for a T4 in terms of job prospects in Dayton. The campus is gorgeous, if that's important to you.

Bait and switch scholarships? I got that sense too. They offered me a scholly and said I had to stay above a 2.9 to keep it.

Oh, what happens if you don't make your first seat deposit? Are you dropped right away?  I might try to wait out Baltimore as long as I can.

I'm not sure s/he is guaranteed in at Pitt, but s/he has a good shot. I was wondering that as well.  Did you apply to Pitt? I've heard Duquesne is okay, but Pitt is better.

Hi,

I got accepted to Dayton, with a scolly. OH is okay, but I rather live and practice in MD. I'm wait listed at Baltimore. Haven't heard back from all my schools yet, but got rejected by all the schools that I wanted over Baltimore so I'm thinking my choice is between Dayton and Baltimore. What should I do?  I'd rather go to Baltimore, but the seat deposit is coming up for Dayton and I don't want to end up no where. Thanks for and advice.

Wait List / Experience/Advice Waitlisted at UBalt
« on: March 18, 2012, 03:28:51 PM »
Hi,

I'm wait listed at Baltimore.  Is there anything I should do?  Do people still do letters of continued interest (I found references to LOCI, but not since around 2006)?  Any experience with the wait list their? They make it look very likely wait listed applicants get in by the early summer seat deposit.  Is that true?

Ubalt is by best choice if I don't get into Maryland (and I probably won't).

Thanks in advance.
