I'm a member of the local bar association and the state bar association.  It's a good idea especially if you want to work in the state but have no real ties to it.

do u go to the meetings?

No, but I did go to one reception that was set up by the young lawyers of the local bar association.

I have a class that starts at 7:45 am this semester.

Sorority rush is just annoying because it's time consuming and you have to make small talk over and over again.  Once it's over you get showered with attention, and my sorority didn't haze, so the entire process of sorority rush can hardly hold a candle to frat hazing. 

And being in a sorority had nothing to do with boning guys, fancy cars, expensive purses, or any other bull for me and most of my friends.  That's a typical Greek stereotype and it isn't universally true by any means.
