Just because idiots exist within the field of law, does not mean this is the level that one should aspire to.

Seriously! Professionalism has little to do with your lsat score; its a skill anyone can gain.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: MSU vs Stetson

Be careful on thinking the cost of living in tampa is cheap. If its cheap here there definitely is a reason why.  And, if your going full time Stetson is in gulfport quite different from tampa. Gulfport is very divided between really nice and really not.

However, Stetson has a wonderful reputation in central FL and should be fine through the state.

No one should plan going to law school with the expectation of making 160k out of law school- or even 100k for the most part. There are many factors that go into what school, and whether or not to go to law school. Its rarely a simple answer.

an addendum works fine- just don't use too many of them.

I think adding an LLM to go solo would be a large waste of funds for sure. The element lacking seems to be experience, not education.

Working in a firm doing anything pt while finishing the JD would do more good than adding more education. Pro bono work litigating or anything to add significant & relevant experience.

* to add to the TTTT alumni that are successful, I am aware of a handful in FL where I'm from. Also, FL has like 8 or so tier 4 schools so maybe its a place to look for success stories lol.

UMASS Law used to be Southern New England, and from what it sounds like UMASS must have got a really good deal on SNE. And without the ABA accreditation thats a major risk... although one would imagine UMass would invest whatever is needed to get the accreditation.

You usually can apply right away and write an addendum telling the school that you are registered to take the LSAT again at the next date. They will normally hold off on reviewing your app until the new score is received. But check with each school to be certain.

Did you speak to any current students there? I'd be interested in hearing their comments.
