i was in a liquor store in DC when Allen Iverson came in and spent $1200 on 3 bottles of magnum champagne...which he settled for because the store was all out of Crystale.

Haha i think this is going to be my first 4.0 ever, for whatever reason I decided to be extra motivated

Well, I slacked off for my first 3 years and didn't really try, and then the summer after my junior year i was like "I feel like going to law school."

So i'm trying now. Evens out I guess

good mindset to be in for the fall. for me, this might be my lowest GPA for any semester...but not a big deal.  my schedule is "strenous" with such courses like Social Dance, Tennis, and Golf.

more worried about the over-zealous cops in Lexington who give out DIP's like candy...

an update for anyone that may care...

i sent an email to the person who signed my rejection letter asking why i was rejected.  i explicitly stated that "i am not asking for my application to be re-reviewed at this time."  however, a few weeks later i received a letter saying that my application had been placed on hold (not mentioning my previous rejection).  and today i received a call asking me if i was still interested...which made it seem like that if i said yes i would be admitted.  yeah, i said no...

I just got the WL letter today after going complete in December.  I'm out-of-state and going to a better school (IMO) already, but I almost want to try to get them to let me in so I can have the satisfaction of withdrawing and hurting their yield...that'll teach them to make me wait so long...or I'll just kindly withdraw.

I called them on Monday (4/24) and they said that they were going to start looking at the WL soon and to maybe call back in a couple weeks.

anyone else out there???

besides, biglaw ain't gonna afford you armani or a bmw unless you get up beyond associate...

IDK, my entire wardrobe is Armani, and I drive a beamer, and all I work is a part time job for under minimum wage. There are ways to get arround everything. Go whereever you want.

Ps. Go to the century 21 across from ground zero in manhattan. It has armani and versace suits for fairly cheap if you wanna go that route. Rock the benz though

Why do you work under minimum wage?

living in or around NY like this?  hmmm...

i smell two ways "around everything," either (a) BS or (b) large parental subsidy/trust fund

on our weekend, the people who decided to go out went to the bars straight from the coffee shop on friday night and they had a house party on saturday night...

yeah, i was kind of questioning the "type" of people that are gunning for T1 law schools, but i was really surprised by how nice/laid-back/cool both students and prospectives appeared to be.  hopefully this is also the case under more "normal" conditions throughout the year, and not just on prospective students' weekend.

Evo, how was the softball game/lawn party on Saturday?  Did they also throw a house party on Saturday night like they did on 3/25 when I was there?
