bilt05, well im not sure of your racial status but for me it was 100% LSAT. I barely graduated from college. Just breaking the 2 point barrier. I knew the LSAT was my only way into law school. Being from detroit and attending the worst schools in america, I knew I would get some sympathy from law schools. So Just aim as high as you can get. Remember grad school doesnt count. Nobody gets below a 3 in grad school. I put your info in the site law school predictor. I dont know about tulane and lsu but loyola, southern and tsu are definite options for you if you score high 150'S.

Good luck trying to get a job back on the coast with that Southern degree! NCCU is a very well respected institution in the carolinas. Notice though you wont be looked at the same way as your white counterparts who went to wake forest and unc. In fact you will be looked down even below the black grads in my view. See people have this perception that the white students did soooo bad that they had to go to a black school. That their gpa must be sooo low that even being white couldnt help them get into a school. That says alot. Are you comfortable being the only white person in a room filled with blacks? There are white students but you will find yourself alone and if you are one of those self segregating whites, its going to be very difficult for you.

Black people for the most part are nice but if you are white and trip up...ex: make a racist comment...youre cut off. you will instantly become invincible. Infact, the environment may become down right hostile. In all honesty you have other choices to go to school if race is a big deal to you. I just have a feeling you are more concerned with price than anything. Be know gpa and lsat is only part of what you are trying to do here. Youre trying to save money. Its cool. But be upfront about it. Your not fooling anybody. NJ to Southern??? Come on man, you must thing we are stupid. You already getting yourself in trouble.

Look into a school called Southern Illinois. a nice white school with hbcu type tuition.

Look bruh you can get into law school but this is what you gotta do....GET YOUR APPS IN EARLY.

Im talking soon as they release the app....15 minutes later have it all filled out and press apply. Have a complete LSAC file asap. All your recommenders and transcripts done and in. EVERY law school has about 10 or so spots
where they can just give admission to anyone where it wont affect the LSAT admission score the schools get. The key is to be EARLY.

Honestly when it comes to are going to need a miracle!! Just take it over bruh. 10 more points and you would be a sure thing at schools even better than howard.

Look if your LSAT is that bad that you have to consider Southern...just take the test over again. That person who replied and said they are at southern has sowed their fate. He or She will never get a BigLaw job but chances are they know that. If you want to make below 50k out of law school then fine go to Southern. Many of their grads cant even pass the state bar. They fail out at least 20 people in the first year class. Its the bottom of the bottom of law schools. Why they still have ABA approval is beyond me. If it was a white school they would be GONE. Lets be real.

study hard and do well on the LSAT and Howard should be in your reach. A 2.2gpa 162 Lsat student was granted admission into Howard this year.

Texas Tech law grads run the criminal justice system though. Look into that school as well.

Are those your best choices?? OMG  Retake the LSAT man. Those schools are some of the worst in the nation. Dont wait till you graduate from law school to realize how important school ranking is.
