I'll be joining you there in the fall. Definitely excited to be a part of the Villanova class of 2009.

I had been planning on going to Villanova, then I got accepted to Wake last week. Sent in a deposit there yesterday. Got into American today and received a verbal confirmation from GMU that I will likely get in off their waitlist part time, and I may get off full time possibly. HELP ME Decide where to go! Right now the decision is really Wake v. American until GMU officially does anything....and I need to let American know by tomorrow if I want to attend.

FWIW Wake is cheaper both in tuition and cost of living....by a decent amount in both categories. Visiting Wake Friday but I need a decision soon after (over the weekend). I'm intrigued by the positives listed below and not particularly unhappy with any of those negatives. Thanks everyone...any more input would be much appreciated.
BTW- Wake is 39 and Villanova T-60 in the usnews rankings, but I'm trying to look somewhat beyond numbers in my decision.

After a few months of preparing to enroll at Villanova, my world just got somewhat turned upside down with a waitlist acceptance at Wake Forest. I have to make a decision in the next 2-3 days. Can anyone give me some comparative advice with the background that I'm interested most in studying law with a focus on business and I'd eventually like to work in or around the Washington DC area. Any help would be absolutely awesome, thanks in advance.

I spoke with a representative from UNC's admissions office the other day, and they said that they were evaluating a large batch of applications and would be finished by the end of next week. The woman told me that I'd hear something by May 1.
Now that I've visited both Villanova and Richnomd, I've made my decision to go to Villanova. I had to pass up a scholarship from Richmond but I think the job opportunities are better in Philly than in Richmond. I also felt more comfortable in the law school and the general area at Villanova. This was a personal decision based on where I felt I wanted to be, so you need to make your own decision based on factors that are most important to you.
Unfortunately I have little in the way of a science background -- so any science-related IP areas won't be the best fit for me. I'm likely looking towards corporate law, with possibly an attempt to get a little into IP by taking some classes on trademarks and licensing. I know for certain that I don't have nearly the background (I'm a business major UG) to take the patent bar exam.
