2L job search / US Attorney's Office SDNY

I am currently a 2L and was just offered a summer position at the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of NY. From everything I've heard, it seems pretty prestigious, but I am just wondering what my job prospects will be like after graduation. A lot of firms hire based on your 2L summer, but the US Attorney's Office doesn't ever (?) hire right out of law school, so where does that leave me? Should I take this internship, or try elsewhere? I would love a career as an Assistant US Attorney one day, but that's not realistic for the near future.
