I'm in no way saying it's impossible for FAMU grads to pass the bar exam.  I'm just saying that their passage rate for first time test takers is low.  I don't know if it's the admission guidelines or the program itself, or the students...just pointing out a fact for those who weren't in the know.  Yes, it's a standardized test, one that must be passed to practice law in the state of FL.  Just something to consider.

I hate to say it, but FAMU's law school has the lowest passage rate for the Bar Exam.  I don't think I've checked the stats since 2010, but it was about 20% below the next lowest ranked school in FL.  Good grades in law school don't mean a thing if the program isn't equipping you with the knowledge to pass the bar exam.  When I worked at the FL Board of Bar Examiners I felt bad for some applicants because they racked up all that student loan debt and couldn't pass the bar exam after several attempts.  Hopefully, FAMU"s program has gotten better...I really hope it has.

Correction, there is a backlog of over 80,000 cases for restoration of civil rights in FL. You can read the July 2010 report found the on teh FL Parole Commission website.

Have you applied to have your rights restored in FL?  I can't stress how urgent your need to apply is.  There is a backlog of over 700,000 cases for restoration of civil rights and depending on the nature of your conviction, you could be waiting for years for your case to be processed.

Sure, it's possible to forget some details of arrests if there were several that ocurred over a decade ago, but there were times when someone was arrested once and said they forgot they were arrested.  I go to jails and prisons quite often for work and I don't see how being booked into a county jail is an experience one will soon forget.  Wow, you had to fly to the other state? That's just plain crazy.  There was no way you could have made a written request for records or received case information over the phone or online?

I think deminticare's sole purpose for posting anything is to insult people and start arguments. I pray he is not an attorney or on the path to becoming one because he clearly has some mental health issues that are untreated. Please get help.

I like educating people and in MY PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE law students have little to no clue about the character and fitness portion of Bar admission.  If you know it all, then by all means, share your thoughts.  So far, all you've done is bash me for trying to encourage people to pursue a career.  I've never proclaimed myself as high and mighty, but it's nice to know someone out there thinks I am.  ;D  Have a great day!

The only reason i keep mentioning that I was an investigator with the FL Board of Bar Examiners is to add credibility to the advice I give...Google it. If you don't like what I'm saying, then don't do anything I say.  Why does it offend you that I post some of my professional experience?
