U of Toledo / Re: thinking of Toledo 2010 any help?
« on: March 21, 2010, 10:10:51 AM »
I, like the OP, am considering Toledo Law. I've seen a post somewhere else that slams the law school for having requirements of its scholarship recipients that make it difficult to maintain after the first year: 3.3 min GPA with stiff competition for grades from transitional students, according to the poster. For those of you at Toledo, how many students do you think lose their scholarship due to grades?

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Cooley in the fall

It's primarily an economic decision.  I'm interested and intrigued by UDM's program, but I'm attracted by Cooley's honors scholarship.  Either school will get me to the bar exam.  I also figure, with either school, obtaining employment is really going to be on me.

I just took the Feb. LSAT and I applied for Summer (May) 2010 admission to the Cooley Ann Arbor campus, among other schools.  I emailed Cooley's admission office on Monday and received a response that stated I can expect to receive notice on my admissions decision in about two weeks.  So, it'll be the week of March 22 when the news hits.  I am anxious--entering law school is very exciting!  It helped calm some of my anxiety when I received the first piece of good news, accepted at UDMercy, yesterday via email.  It also made me hungry for more.  I will be going to Cooley's Ann Arbor open house March 25.

Thomas M. Cooley / Any feedback about Cooley Ann Arbor Campus
« on: March 05, 2010, 11:17:38 AM »
I've applied for admission to 4 local LS including Cooley's Ann Arbor campus, beginning this summer term (May).  I'll be working full-time during the day and attending part-time (9 cr/sem) in the evenings.  Since it is a satellite campus and brand new, I'm concerned it could be a bare-bones operation without the typical / necessary resources required to be a successful student (whatever that is).  I'm planning on visiting the open house at the end of the month, but I would value responses from current students.  Does anyone have first-hand experience with Cooley-AA to share?
