Choosing the Right Law School / What does going "Complete" mean?
« on: February 09, 2010, 11:33:29 PM »
This might be a dumb question but I just want an answer, no harm...
What does going complete on an application mean? and how long does it take to go complete? Like if a deadline is Feb 1st or something like that, can you turn in your whole app (LOR, resume, personal statement, and transcripts) all on that day? or does it take like two weeks for the transcripts and LOR's to go through and you have to be complete before the deadline? Thanks for your help guys, appreciate it.

Law School Admissions / HOPELESS?
« on: December 28, 2009, 10:20:13 AM »
So heres my story for you all to criticize or advise...

I graduated in 3 years with 2 majors, am a minority (polynesian) and took a year off to study and apply to law school and work. I have a mediocre GPA and I am NOT looking to go to a tier 1 school.I realize that ship has sailed. I just want something in tier 2. I took the lsat and my nerves dominated me. BUT i KNOW i can do better. so I signed up again and took studying way more serious this time and i felt  so much more prepared and confident. But i recently broke my wrist and all my fingers in an accident and was unable to take planned lsat exam.

so should i take the feb test and risk my score coming in late? (i really realy dont want to take another year off)

or does anyone know of any tier 2 schools whose deadline date is in March, so i can take the FEB lsat exam.

any advice is appreciated, mahalo.

I got LG, LR, LG, LR, RC.
The first games section had to be the experimental section considering that my third section including the games you have previously mentioned, "3 pm and 9 pm class schedules" and so on. if this is true thats awesome because the first games section was pretty complicated, with three advanced linear games, instead of the usual two. It could also be true that i had quite a rough start for whatever reason and couldn't get my head in the test until the second section. So maybe it was easy for some, not so much for me.
I also did not have the oxidation, maple question, so perhaps that was in the experimental section for the rest of you.
Other then that, the LR wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be, and the reading comp was average. Still though, i could be completely wrong and managed to get a 150. haha, we will see! best of luck to you all

Minority and Non-Traditional Law Students / dont mind your lsat or GPA?
« on: December 01, 2009, 10:14:22 AM »

So about this minority status, do they cut you slack on your LSAT or your GPA?

(Im Samoan, just trying to figure out if being a minority even counts for anything, but I figure hey how often is it that you see a Poly in law school? thats gotta count for something, right?)
