congrats!  not looking good for me...

Good news. The email they sent me today wasn't to inform me that I'm on the super-secret waitlist!

Black Law Students / Re: New Sony ad - whoa. Racist or Edgy?

This ad is truly tasteless and seems to be ignorant of the racial situation around the world.  That said, another of the ads in the campaign features a black girl on top of a white girl grabbing her.

Sony says the point of the ads was to show the contrast between the black and white PSPs but I think this is a little extra. Plus, why would they try to insinuate the dominance of the white PSP over the black PSP if they're trying to sell both?

Good to know!

Maybe this is why they sent it:  I am entering 1L this year, and they just sent out these forms that we have to send back that state our intent to enroll.  So if they get negative responses back, they're gonna pull from the wait list.

The forms are due July 21.  Mine's going back tomorrow.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: What Difference Does School Make?

Yeah, really.  This seems so obvious to me. Top 2 or 3% at a Top 5 school easily trumps everything else.

Nigerian- doctors, engineers, egusi soup

Jamaican- reggae, curry

Southern African-American- slow talking, dumb rappers

African-American from NY- gully

Haitian- beautiful women, less attractive men

Ethiopian- huge foreheads, stuck up

Do it, but get a 2br so you have a *little* space.

I say ride the WL's to the bitter end, but make other plans.  You may have to forfeit a seat deposit, but it may be worth it if you get a midsummer call from your dream school.

aren't all of these statistics based on the assumption that the waitlists aren't ranked, and the scholls pull people off of the waitlist at random?

either way... I am in a similar boat as the OP and will be retaking in June.

Good luck!

I nominate Pitt as well (52-->60).  Though I think a tier-drop always trumps a decline within the same tier.

That said, YAY WASH U!!!!!!
