Some of the most influential people in history lacked a JD. I plan to make a change with the knowledge I gained throughout my time in school, not by gloating that my school is in the top 100 of all law schools. After all, those rankings are the end all be all :D  Also, I know your not stupid enough to think you can only make a change as a lawyer!!  Judging by your comment, you plan on changing the world with IGNORANCE. Just remember, it may make you feel better to look down on ualr but to a Harvard, Standford, or Yale student, FSU is just as crappy. So enjoy your 'not so crappy' degree and I'll enjoy my 100% crappy one.

Peace

And seriously..who gives a crap who is going to make more starting out? There are bigger questions out there like who's going to actually try to make a differnce. Who is going to make their mark on society. I grew up in 'poverty' and for me its about helping those who didn't get out. I lived a happy life and got everything that I needed. Some of you LSD posters are just spoiled brats! It makes me sick to read post after post about salary expectations , how DOOMED you are if you don't go to a Tier1 school, etc. You're only doomed if you have dreams of making 6 figures right out of school. If you have more realistic aspirations and you are USED to working hard in life for what you have, you'll excell. It's the law of life. The fittest survive. So Make it! And Go to the school that you feel fits you best. (Knowing that you may have to bust your butt).

I'm done ranting.....

To Ninja,

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone on an issue, such is life, but your comment about Africa being the biggest shithole for the next 200 years is just ignorant. YES, it is in bad condition, but please let's not forget WHY. It was plundered, robbed of its people (slavery), natural resources(diamonds, oil, etc.), its art (Egypt for example..YES Egypt is in Africa... Europe and America has more Egyptian art than Egypt itself and that's just ONE example), and ripped apart. When there was nothing left to take, it was left to fend for itself. So in NO way do I think its appropriate for you to use its current situation to combat what the previous poster stated. It's sad and the world should be ashamed that it all happened before our eyes. However, it is and will forever be, the mother country rergardless of who refuses to acknowledge this FACT.

I definitely agree.. Education can link people together but it does way less to break you apart if you are truly friends. The only difference is that you were and will be trained in a particular field. SchOol isn't for everyone.

That may very well be true, but I have visited ualr and I really like Little Rock. Like any other small town/city it has its ups and downs. Also, I feel that I'd fit right in. Every school isn't for anyone. I believe that although UALR may not be ranked as highly or known as well as UA, it is a perfect fit for me. I guess I just wanted to know what I was getting myself into as far as job prospects. I do appreciate your responses though and they have been helpful!

I only applied to Georgia State and I was not accepted. I was accepted to both schools in Arkansas and a couple of others in the surrounding areas... I'm leaning towards UALR because it is in the city and they are offering a lot more money.

Okay thanks Ninja! I REALLY would love to move to ATL after graduation. I'm sure I have to do some major networking though.
