Studying for the LSAT / LSAT Practice Test« on: May 23, 2009, 09:03:18 PM »
I was wondering if the LSAT practice test given on http://www.lsac.org/pdfs/test.pdf is a good indicator of what you would get on an LSAT Test today. It was issued in October of 1996 as the actual test, but are the LSAT Tests in 2009 harder/easier, any difference?

LSAC and LSDAS / LSAC or LSDAS GPA Help« on: April 14, 2009, 04:03:02 PM »
I took college courses when i was a senior in high school, bad idea as i now see it. I am looking at graduating with around a 3.75ish GPA, however, I am wondering how they calculate the LSDAS because of those classes i took in high school at a community college i didnt do so well in. Do they take them all into account? Only a few? Only the ones that transferred to my 4 year college?

I go to a Christian undergraduate school where, if you get caught drinking (yes, gay, i know), you get in serious trouble. Well, last year around this time I got caught and receive disciplinary probationn. Anyways, until i apply for law school, it will have been 3 years since that event happened, however, after looking at the deans certificate, it seems that they must write down any of my disciplinary actions that have occured. Is this true? Will this deter my chances at top schools?

If you are applying to, say, 5-7 schoos, do you need to have 2 x however many schools you are applying to in references? Or can you just ask 2 reference people to make a copy that could be submitted to any school? Are the references pretty standard across all law schools, as far as what is to be included? Thanks!

I just have done research about Cornell and it seems like a good fit for me. What other schools are you infering? I love Philosophy, absoloutely enjoy it, which is why the better gpa. I like business, but its just not as appealing to me. I could care less about an ivy, I just want to go to a well known school, since my undergrad isnt necessarily "known".

Hey,
Just wondering, but, would I be eligible for Cornell or Columbia with a cumulative GPA of 3.71-3.77 and a LSAT of 170? I am double major (not sure if major gpa matters), but my business degree gpa is about 3.62 and my Philosophy gpa is a 3.95.I have had various internships and am heavily involved in extra curriculars, also my undergrad isnt prestigious or anything.I am also in the process of getting an article or two published in various journals, not sure if that would help me or not. I will also be studying in England for a year, one year at Oxford. Thanks in advance! 10
