Where should I go next fall? / Re: If I defer, must I go?
« on: July 14, 2009, 07:21:37 PM »That is not a real deferral. A real deferral is where you pay a deposit and they hold your seat for you until the next year.
That's what I thought!

Where should I go next fall? / Re: If I defer, must I go?« on: July 14, 2009, 07:03:02 PM »Depends. Some schools say that it's a binding deferral and at others, it's not. Look at your deferral paperwork. it says i have to request a deferral in writing, upon doing so, the admissions committee will reassess my file during the following admissions cycle. How is this a deferral, if I will be weighed against new parameters and applicants? 3

I have an offer from a school, but they require me to be there in 1 week! So I think I am going to wait a year. If I defer until 2010, but also apply to others schools for 2010, and get accepted to a better school, must I go to the school I originally deferred?

Where should I go next fall? / new numbers, new offers, new start?????« on: June 29, 2009, 09:13:00 PM »
I posted some months back in regards to AAMPLE and Cooley and which to attend, yada yada yada... I took advice that was given, and re-took the LSAT. I came out with a 153. I increased 8 points! So I have a 138, 145, and 153. My LGPA is 2.98. The day after I received my LSAT score, Florida Coastal, a school of which I applied, was rejected, then offered AAMMPLE, sent me an email congratulating me on my acceptance along with my scholarship, explaining the necessary info would be sent today.
With that being said, I do not know the amount, but with that aside, and my new score, couldn't I defer, apply to others schools for Fall 10' and see how I play out? Worse-case, I go to FLorida Coastal with scholarship? 5
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Thomas M. Cooley Vs. Nova Southeastern AAMPLE program« on: March 06, 2009, 12:20:38 AM »
The issue of financing the $3500 AAMPLE program surfaces. Seeing how the school does not offer financial aid, because it is not considered a "degree seeking program." So it is safe to assume that if any other school accepts me, I should accept that offer over Cooley. Schools I'm waiting to hear from are: North Carolina Central U., Seton Hall, Widener U, U of Detroit Mercy, and a wait list Barry U.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: How to stay Motivated?« on: March 05, 2009, 11:39:06 PM »I empathize with you, candy. When I was studying, I had a 149 diagnostic, then a 152, and 158. I was so excited to be going up so quickly but then reality set in. I got a 156 on my next PT then a 154!!! I actually ended up getting several 154s and towards the end I was back at 158/159 but not breaking the 160 I so desperately wanted.I have started preparing for the June Lsat. I have done a similar regimen in the past increasing my score +7 from 138. Is there any particulars you did in between daily sections? I would always go over my incorrect responses, and look over my outlines from the prep-course. 7
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Thomas M. Cooley Vs. Nova Southeastern AAMPLE program« on: March 05, 2009, 08:36:17 PM »The test is June 8. So I would get the score on the 29th of June, by email.I know it is very unorthodox, but can't I simply secure a seat at Cooley and begin rigorously studying for the June LSAT? If my score does not improve dramatically then I maintain my seat, but if it does I withdrawal my seat and wait a year at most and apply to a school in my desired area. Right? LawDog3; I did apply to Thomas Jefferson, St. Thomas, among many others, but have been rejected, except for Barry, which I am still on the wait list. 8

Thomas M. Cooley / Grand Rapids Apartments« on: March 04, 2009, 12:41:44 AM »
I am contemplating attending the Grand Rapids campus fall 2009, and wanted some insight on the apartments within close proximity to the campus. I have been looking at the American Seating Park: Clark Place apartments.
