Messages - lawapplicants
Honestly, I think it is for 2 reasons:
(1) TLS has more functionality (the ability to check user stats etc)
(2) The color scheme of LSD is horrible
I know that there is some interest in improving the functionality with this site because I get a lot of hits on my website (www.lawapplicants.com) from the posts that I make on here. Maybe an admin on this site would like to mingle our two sites so we can take over the world, haha (all joking aside, even though www.lawapplicants.com is still new and there is barley anyone on it, the potential is there).
Would any of you mind signing up for membership at www.lawapplicants.com?
Its not forum based, its similar to LSN but with an emphasis on the PERSON that gets into law school, not the NUMBER. In my experience that this can go a long way in retention and professional stature both in and beyond professional school.
The site is up and running, but there aren't enough people in it to make it useful.
Thanks! And good luck, hope to see you on www.lawapplicants.com.

criticism: your spam is annoying.
I am not trying to spam. I am sorry that you feel that way. I am not promoting -- simply asking for feedback.

Yeah, I still don't understand how this vision is "distinctly different" from LSN.
I aim to compile the statistics instead of having users forage through them. But I need members first . I think discussion boards like LSD are wonderful, I am in now way trying to compete with this type of board. I want to compile real user statistics and law school information in one spot with comment capabilities.
the bold copy on the home page needs to go, or be toned down. it reads like the author has turrets with all the emphasis on, emphasis off in each sentence. the headings and bullet points also feel really disjointed. small font to big font back to small font. your home-page is your hook, the first thing people see. it should be more attention-grabbing.
Very good thank you very much. The site is live. Gmail's spam filter has been catching the emails sent out. I wonder if your spam filter caught the message with the password.
Hey non-trads --
I am trying to start a site [http://www.lawapplicants.com] where law applicants [both pre-professional and matriculated]can anonymously display their application statistics to the web-community [yes, similar to lawschoolnumbers.com; but I my vision is distinctly different]. I am looking for criticism of the site by folks that are actually going to use it. Please keep it constructive [things like grammar and spelling are very WELCOME but I am specifically looking to tailor the site to your needs; broadly, what are you looking for - I knew what I was looking for when I applied, but what are you?]. Thanks and good luck!
