ok, so greengrl just came by and mothered/lectured me and she is right, i still have a lot of unpacking to do, and kevin, you should be unpacking too - you've barely moved in!  classes start in two days.  so, i am going to back out on tonight's outting...yes, i am a terrible person.     sorry guys.  i suggest we postpone it to either wed night (we get out of class early) or sat after the exam.  does that sound good with you guys?

Yes, that would be much better for me, as I am not even sure if I can make it tonight as I am going to hang out with some girls I met at 7.30PM. I would have felt bad leaving them to come hang out with u guys, I think Sat after the final is a good idea!!

thanks for replying. i looked at the old capitol area also, my only concern was parking. it looks like it could be difficult. never having been, i can't say for sure tho. may i suggest the coralville area? i saw two places right on hwy 6(aka 2nd st.) between 1st st. and rocky shore drive. one was called the vine tavern and eatery, and the other place (i forgot the name) was a pub-type joint in a squatty brown building.

we could go to the vine, and then maybe the other place if you like. what do yall think? i'm thinking we could meet about 9pm.

Call the number on the page for Cambus, the actual page and maps suck, it is very hard to see where you are meant to get off.

I have taken the bus twice now. First time I got lost and walked miles, 2nd time, I got on the wrong bus and it took forever for me to get home.

So has anyone gotten their orientation books yet?

I got my ID today but they said I have to wait until I can charge my books on it.

OMG! I was in shock for the first day! Maybe it was due to all the driving.

I didn't believe it was this rural and had this many corn fields, lol

I will reserve my thoughts and opinions until school starts though and I meet people, I may feel better once I have some friends here!
