Studying and Exam Taking / Best Practice Supplement for Property?
« on: March 25, 2009, 12:19:30 PM »
Has anyone tried the Glannon Guide on Property?  I really liked it for Civ Pro.  Is the E&E alright?  (I thought the E&E for Contracts was horrible).  Any other practice supplement (for both Multiple Choice and Essays) I should look into?  My prof def places an emphasis on estates and future interests...

What say you?

Is Fed Courts notorious for being difficult?

Reason being the professor is new.

My schedule (evening student) presents me with this dilemma!

Factors involved:

1) I really liked Con Law
2) I don't know what type of law I want to practice yet
3) The Comm Paper professor is a really easy grader

Please advise.

I found the E&E very over-encompassing. Do the CALI questions and sample exams. Contracts suck, and if you have a horrible professor...Contracts is probably the last first-year class you have a horrible professor with (save for Civil Procedure).

Again, can't stress sample exams enough.

General Board / Interesting Courses v. Bar-Preparation Courses
« on: November 25, 2008, 03:13:06 PM »
So a group of us were debating whether we should take courses we're interested in or courses to better prepare ourselves for the bar.

I was in the pro-interest camp (and still maintain my position) as I think once you're studying for the bar you will learn the necessary law anyway, and it also behooves you to make the study of law as interesting as possible .  However, I'm still open to contrary opinion.

What say you?
