Law School Applications / Re: What are my chances?

I've been asked so many times.. I feel like I should have a voice recorder on hand so that i can play the whole "fine fine.. " blah blah blah. so nerve-wrecking..
How many times have you taken it? Are you planning to take anymore? I'm always freaking out.. desperately in need of a chill pill. I came out feeling extremely anxious.. I can't really say how i did just yet.

Thank you for your replies. I was MIA for the last 2 weeks and took off time from work for the October LSAT. I was so nervous, and now it's draining the life out of me waiting for the results. I should start working on my apps. I have two letter of recommendations from the professors I was a TA for- one of them being the Director of UG and Graduate Psychology Department of NYU. My major gpa is a 3.83, but I don't think law schools take that into account, do they?
I have 2 other LOR from the COO and Senior VP who I work for directly... I'm not sure how much my occupation (Compliance Analyst for LG) would be considered or weighted in respect to my whole application. I'm really freaking out. I signed up for the December LSAT just in case.
I also have another question- I got my transcripts in last year since I graduated 07 onto my LSAC account. I'm so confused as to whether I have to do that also for LSDAS. If I do, I'm in  screwed because I have to take another day off work! AHHHH! God help me.

LSAC and LSDAS / Re: How much did your GPA change?

Mine dropped .2 because one of my courses got weighted more. I had two degrees while in NYU undergrad- AA and BA and they somehow made the computation, to my horror, to drop 0.2. I just took the LSAT this month. My UGPA: 3.5 (on LSAC, my major: 3.83).

Thank you for the kind responses!
I actually took 2 newer tests and I scored 167. Do you think most people do worse on the real thing? I try to position myself in the most uncomfortable and boring areas (public library) for these preptests. I know that the schools show the range of their 25~75% for both GPA and LSAT, but do they calculate this based on which school you went to? For example, if you received a 3.5 from NYU would that be put into consideration versus a candidate from, for example, Depaul who received a 4.0?
170's my goal but i have 3 weeks! hopefully, 3~5 points will come soon enough.

Thank you! How come you're retaking it?
Which undergraduate school did you attend, if you don't mind my asking?
Congrats on your acceptances. I feel so antsy about the whole process! I'm still scoring around a 168 on my diagnostics.. but I only took about 4. Ugh, so gruesome.

Law School Applications / What are my chances?

I've been on edge about this whole law school application process as the time nears for my first and hopefully only LSAT i'll be taking in October. I graduated from NYU last may and am working as a compliance analyst at LG (insurance sector). What do you think are my chances to get into the top 20~25 schools with a gpa of 3.5 (on LSAC, but with an upward shift since I switched majors-receiving 4.0 after such change). I am getting around mid to high 160s on my practice tests and hopefully will be able to get around 5~10 more points on these until the test date. I also was a undergrad TA in psychology during my senior year of college and decided to take a year off to make sure "law school" was my best career choice.
With what LSAT score should I be confident of securing a seat in schools like: GWU, Notre Dame, U Wash, USC, etc?
