Personal Statement / Mentioning current students in why statements?

I was wondering if it might be a bad move to mention the experiences of my friends who are students at two of the law schools that I am writing why statements for?  Or mention my friends by name?

On one  hand, it might provide support for the attestations about why I want to attend school x--because I've heard it from someone who knows.  On the other hand, I'm afraid it might make me sound pretentious or like I'm name-dropping, which is not my intention whatsoever.

Anyone been in a similar situation or have any insights?
Help?

Getting an email for Toby Stock to set up a time to talk is an excellent sign.
Yes, before calling he usually emails people in order to set up a time to speak.
He definitely does NOT do this for all applicants.
But instead for applicants that are likely to be admitted :)

Congratulations!  Stay calm and don't act like a space case on the phone with him and I would say you're very likely to be admitted to HLS :)

Studying for the LSAT / Re: what happens if I report a testing center?

I am debating whether to report my test center as well.

~Proctors did not figure out how to use their digital timer before the exam so it beeped incessantly for the first few minutes of the exam before they gave up on it and used one of their watches as the official time.

~The third section of my exam, the proctor ended 3 minutes early.

~A proctor's cell phone went off during the exam.

~Proctors talking and whistling during the exam.

~Spotted a test taker with earplugs (not as annoying the former four offenses but still generally unfair)

I guess I'm worried since I don't know what will happen if do report and whether it will be worth doing so.

Studying for the LSAT / 2 Weeks Before the LSAT--How Did You Study?

In the last two weeks or so before the exam, did your study regimens change?  Did you kind of kick it into overdrive?  What did you do to make your studying more productive to pick up those last couple of points?

I'm taking the exam on October 4th and I want to do whatever I can do make my studying and practice at this point as productive and effective as possible

Strengthen/Assumption, Method of Reasoning, Weaken and Must Be True questions are the most common statistically.

I definitely agree with the comments made thus far about concentrating more on LR.

It does make up two sections of the test and particularly since you said you're having trouble with weaken and strength/justify/assumption questions, get those down since they are two of the most frequently tested types of LR questions.

Thus far, it's working for me as well.  I think in part because of the confidence boost that comes from feeling like I am covering as much terrain as possible in terms of studying.   I think Testmasters is more in depth in terms of breaking down different types of questions but the PS bibles are a nice way to reinforce what you've learned in class.

And I'm going to hop on board and agree with the comment about not mixing your games methods too much.
