2L job search / Law Review Write On and Job Search

Hi,
I'm just outside the top 1/3 of my class and participating the law review write-on competition. Since we don't find out the results until mid-august, should I wait to see if I have made a review before sending out transcripts etc.? Or is that pushing it for biglaw, especially those that are not participating in my school's (top 100) OCI?
