Your employment prospects at Howard won't be as good because you are not African American.Big law firms recruit at the top of the class at Howard for diversity. If you're choices are between Howard and New York Law I would say neither. The economy is bad and legal market is saturated with lawyers. Going to either of these law schools is very risky.

I'm considering working as a parelegal for a few years after college before applying to law school. I'd like to work at a V100 firm and was wondering how much on average do legal assistants fresh out of college make at these firms. Thanks in advance.

Financial Aid / Will a low income background prevent one from attending law school?

Hi I am new to this forum and have been wondering if being from a very low income background can stop one from attending law school. I know that most people take out large loans to attend law school so what I'm asking is will a low income person be able to get the loans they need to attend law school? I have heard that some people need a co-signer to get the loans (I don't know if its true). Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
