Thanks for the info. It is nice to hear from someone who actually got in last minute. I guess the good thing is I will know for sure in two weeks. Let's hope for a call!

Got accepted to my second choice so I am not be too disappointed with the way things have gone, but I have been on the waitlist for my top choice since April. There have been three updates all of them saying the class is full. However, the school is keeping the waitlist open until August 10th. Anyone out there in a similar position, or who has some experience with this I would love to here from you. I am not holding my breath for an offer but I would like to hear there is hope at this point.

Applied to 8 schools here's how they fell
3-Acceptances 1-Rejection (Oregon) 4-Waitlists Still waiting on Catholic, Lewis & Clark, Utah, Houston Three of my top four waitlisted me, I am very hopeful to get off at least one before August. Not knowing until August would make it difficult to move me and my family. I am not as transient as I was right after undergrad. 4

besides the fact that the school has in fact rendered a decision. I ask this because I am away from my house and will not be able to check the mail for several days. I assume this message does not mean anything but this is the first school where I have utilized the online status checker.

I heard that there was going to be some sort of database that all law schools could look at to see if a student has put a seat deposit down at another school?
If this is true it would be nice for people that have been waitlisted as it might open doors that weren't previously opened. 8

Are you applying Full time or part time? I got in part time with 155 and 3.58. I did not go complete until the middle of december. I am very excited about SLU, it seems like a very good school, better than what it is ranked. Good luck!

Law School Applications / WL at Catholic, bad omen?« on: January 25, 2009, 08:43:20 AM »
Applied part time, where numbers wise I was well above the 75% in GPA and one point below the 50% LSAT (this according to LSAC). Good Grad School grades, Division I athelete, Work Ex. Nothing bad to speak of. I know being waitlisted isn't the end of the world but in their letter they said they waitlist app. 500 people and in the past they accept between 10 and 50 off that waitlist. Not great odds. I plan on sending them LOCI because I am still very interested. I have heard there are many more applicants in general to law school than in previous years, does anyone else get that impression or know this to be true? I am worried that if I got waitlisted where I thought I had a good chance the ones that are more of a strech might be too much of a reach for me.
Does anyone else have a somewhat puzzling decision? Any insight regarding Catholic admissions this year? 10
