Don't waste time worrying about firms that put you toward the end of the line.  In my opinion, I want to be somewhere that wants me - not somewhere that wants me only if others reject them.

Kobe, on the other hand, leads Jordan in the following categories: personal fouls per game, technical fouls per game, snitching out teammates per season, and rape attempts per career.

Haha, nice.

Thanks.  And it just happens to be true.

It is not even close people.

Before going to the Wizards, Jordan played 13 full seasons (although he was injured through most of his second season).  Kobe has played 12.  Jordan led a team to 6 rings.  Kobe led his team to 0 rings.

That being said, Jordan leads Kobe in the following statistical categories over his career: points per game, steals per game, rebounds per game, assists per game, blocks per game, field goal percentage, and basic awesomeness. (And these numbers include the two years he played with the Wizards - far beyond his peak.)

Kobe, on the other hand, leads Jordan in the following categories: personal fouls per game, technical fouls per game, snitching out teammates per season, and rape attempts per career.

Jordan did something at 35 that Kobe can't do at 29 - win a title.  It is not even close.

You might want to give some context.

Transferring / Re: GULC Transfer Admit with Questions

Really, truly, any and all advice would be appreciated.  And it is great news about the journals.  Also, while I am at it, do you know when the transfer write-on competition is?

Thanks again.

I'm a current 1L (almost 2L) at GULC.  I don't know if the transfer process is different or not.  But the write-on process for us starts on May 16.

Part of the reason she's being rejected might be that with that record she may not be able to be admitted to the bar.  I would have her call the ABA and see if she is even eligible.  I know they are very strict about prior criminal records, etc.  I really have no idea though.

Also, next year, it may help her to set up an interview at those schools.

That situation sucks, though.  Sometimes problems follow us for too long.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can only move from PT to FT after your first year. Thus, if accepted as a GULC transfer PT, you can't switch to FT later.

Hence why I said you could automatically transfer your second year.

Went to Decision today

I sent my app 2/1, but GULC is a FAR reach for me so I'm pretty much guaranteed a rejection. I'm sure they're getting the unworthy ones out of the way and hanging on to the rest.

Those of you still "complete," I'm sure youre still in the running. Hope this helps, good luck to all of you... maybe i'll see you in 2L if i can transfer in

Mind if I ask what your numbers were.  i wouldn't be so sure you got rejected no matter what.  In the past the first waive has always been acceptances.

UGrad 3.74/160; T2, within top 20% - Not exactly competitive with all of you guys.
I really hope you're right about the first wave being acceptances but the way I'm seeing it is a lot like POTUS20. I don't think I'm in contention, it was a shot in the dark for me.

I hope you all get in... best of luck

Yeah, dude, if you applied to the PT division at GULC you've got a decent shot.  Plus, if you're PT at GULC, you can automatically transfer to FT your second year if you take summer classes.  Consider calling the admissions office and saying you'd be interested in doing that.

I agree...

Well, I'm not sure what his numbers were, but the quick decisions are either quick rejections or quick acceptances.  The way most schools handle this is just create a yes, no, and maybe pile as they go through.  So a quick decision really could go either way.  That being said, I wish y'all all luck.

Best of luck.
