I know how you feel, have right above B average at a school like you and am definitely not looking forward to fall recruiting.

I will agree with this as well. Lower ranked b-schools are only worth it if done as a formality to qualify you for moving up the corporate ladder. For the most part, unless you have well established connections already, just getting a random MBA somewhere isn't going to make you any more marketable for well paying positions.
Getting a MBA is only really worth it at the top 5 b-schools if you're young and haven't worked before. Re: B - school, if your law school is low ranked, it's safe to say the b-school is as well. I can't think of a single example where this is not true, but perhaps your school is an exception. Business jobs for MBAs, at least the better ones, are just as competitive if not more than law jobs. The classic scenario where going to a no-name / local b-school doesn't matter is where you have someone with several years of work experience, whose company is paying for the MBA in full so they can "ticket punch" the employee for a promotion. It doesn't sound this is your scenario though. What I'm trying to say is, the MBA from a middling school isn't worth much, especially when you don't have substantial work experience to back it up. Try doing research on your own and you'll see what I mean. 3

Potential for future growth is definitely there, plenty of small time lawyers make a good living for themselves. I am just concerned about those at lower ranked schools and their job prospects coming out. From a purely financial point of view, it doesn't make sense to get a J.D. Perhaps you enjoy the law enough to make it work. But that's for you to decide, and I definitely wouldn't dig a 100K debt hole just to make 60K coming out.
Please, what else are people going to law school for? Except for the odd ones out, very few people are going to find law to be something they "love". Nothing glamorous about sitting at a desk pushing papers. Nothing intellectually stimulating about defending a DUI in court. Unless you're doing a high profile case, it simply isn't exciting. People are in the career of law for the money. We're here to work and provide for ourselves, not have fun. Guaranteed 90% of people hate their jobs regardless of what they're doing, might as well make some cash in the meanwhile. 4

Sure you'll have prospects, but just keep your expectations realistic so you don't get surprised and upset. You should be able to get work as an associate as some small firm, but the pay will probably be around 60k, just like jobs you get right out of undergrad.
Six figure jobs are probably out of the question for now. When even students from the top 30 schools are having trouble finding work, things are looking pretty bleak for everyone else as well. 6

If your grades remain at relatively the same level(should find out in next day or two), a job from OCI may be possible. Otherwise, many jobs are already gone from offers given to students after screening interviews. Events after this point are merely formalities and attempts to drum up interest in the firm for 2L OCI. Best of luck to you, and hope you won't end up like me scrambling to look for other non biglaw opportunities.
