Canadian Law Students / GPA conversion question
« on: May 11, 2006, 02:35:51 PM »
I am wondering how my GPA will be translated by LSDAS.

I went to Western in the late 90s and I am the proud owner of a 70.85% 4 year GPA.  Which on Western's grade scale at the time was a B. The scale had no pluses or minuses, except for A+.

I would think that it would be possible to look at the chart located on the lsac.org FAQ section for LSDAS.  But that chart shows a Scale out of 100 that is definitely not how our scale worked.

So is my GPA a 3.00 as a straight B? Or is it a 2.7 as a B- (which is what OLSAS says)?

Just curious, as I have not taken the plunge to sign up for an LSDAS account yet.

Thanks,

RW

Not sure if this has surfaced yet in the list, but in case anyone is still looking for LR questions.

I believe at least two questions were "role of statement" questions.

Can't remember more details than that.

Anyone?

This is ringing a bell for me too.

Was it a neccessary sufficient question?  Possibly.

Need others to fill it in.

agreed-- i don't think there was a rule about W

No, there was a rule for W. I just don't think it was stated as above.

In the appliance repair game, there was a rule about W and so far, no one has remembered it.

Anyone?

RW

W repaired TV's or VCR's or both

Really?

While I can't remember all the rules myself, I REALLY don't remember the W rule reading like that.

Anybody else?

I also agree that there was a question about the scientists eventually researching how human cells begin polarizing.  This was a direct reference to the quote in the passage that this was a "tempting mystery".

Thanks.

I can't remember any B's but, I can't remember any A's, C's, D's or E's.

Basically, I rarely remember the letters, but I can usually recognize the correct answer's wording, and the set-up for the game.

Sorry
