Me too.  And in the second week of school... I have met some great people and some annoying people that have no clue about reality.  I avoid them...just like I am avoiding the library.  As for the lecture...I love that people chime in on a topic without reading the previous posts.

Thank you for the "insight" agrooth but, I wasn't whining, prejudging or assuming.  I was concerned from all the things that one reads in articles about law school, books on law school and on these message boards.  All schools will be different.  All classes will be different. And from what I've experienced so far...I lucked out.  My class, while a bit young, seems fairly balanced and only two or three people have emerged as tools.

If money, or a decent standard of living is ultimatly what you want there are far easier(and cheaper) ways to do it.   Having just started my first year a lot of things people have told me in the past are beginning to make sense.  If I was here just to make money, I would be depressed and annoyed.  Go to law school because it is what you want to do not because it is someone else's dream.   If you decide that it is the place for you, then go for it, but really seriously think about why you want to go.   Just my two cents.

Ok so I've been away for quite awhile...thank you for...most..of the responses.  To the persons who wrote the essays on the whole Stockholm Syndrome...please, put down the laptop and go outside...really.  As for the having an open-mind comments.   Absolutly, but I don't want to be naive either.

Begining my first year, should I already have a suit?  I have plenty of business clothes but Seattle isn't big on the whole suit to work thing.

I realize that  :D  From what I have heard from friends and aquaitances though I am still worried.  Also from my personal experience dealing with legal professionals they seem to be of the entitled mindset.  I am leaving a fantastic set of friend here and moving to where I know no one...I'm starting to worry that it is kindergarten all over again....What if I don't make any friends  :'( :'(

 :D I just wanted to some input so I am mentally prepared for what/who may lie ahead.

Please tell me there are normal people in law school.  I am starting to get worried that I am going to hate most of my classmates.  I am not rich nor do I want to be.  I've worked retail so I'm not a pretentious jerk.  Current students, is it really as bad as I think it is???  Help.
