General Board / Re: Is buying the newest edition really necessary?

I had a friend that tried to do an old edition of the bluebook. She was shafted, big time.

2) bet. 20-25% (no ranks after 1st semester, just deciles & quartiles)
3) bottom tier 1

Nope, you're not crazy. I found law school to be much easier than being a stay-at-home parent raising 4 kids . . . motivation and ability to manage tasks and deadlines is the real key. We've got lots of former military at my school; they kick butt. You'll probably do fine.

For me (4 kids ages 8 -18, also working a start-up tech company on the side), the saving grace that kept all the plates spinning was to make one day a week a Law-School Free Day.

Study happened at school between classes, and in the 7-11pm slot at night, and sometimes half a weekend day. The rest, the chips fell where they may. It worked out pretty well.

Well... there is always the reverse solution (which is what I did). Take a few years to make and raise a couple kids (I took 18 years, made four kids, youngest is starting 2nd grade this fall, oldest is a HS senior), then go to law school at age 40.

General Board / Re: Ladies- where are you suit shopping?

JCPenney is exactly where I found mine... finding skirted suits with long enough skirts is impossible! But their Worthington collection offers suits with skirts that go midcalf. Hoorah!
