Studying and Exam Taking / Re: West's Nutshells Series
« on: August 05, 2005, 01:15:13 PM »
i haven't read them, so i can't comment on their quality.  however, someone did mention that they might be useful to get a general understanding of the content matter, especially in preparation.  i think, because there is so much reading in law school, that it is important to pick the best supplements possible -- obviously you can't buy all of them.  based on that reason, there might be better supplements on the market to buy, such as e&es.

General Board / Re: Sage advice for soon to be 1L's

The most important things I learned as 1L were these:

1. Do not buy the case books for your classes.

2. Do not study at all during the school year, except for the last week of your classes and during the exam period.

General Board / Re: Dating while in law school

actually, obtaining a mail order bride requires more committment than the vast majority of other relationships. ;)

So, yeah, if men (or women) want just hookups, then they should find people who are available for that sort of thing, and if that means dating undergrads (or strippers, or mail order brides), so be it.

you used the word "principals" incorrectly.  'principles' would have been appropriate.  hopefully that didn't matter in the end! :)

however that was a good PS, if for no other reason that it made me want to read the whole thing.  i would be careful about posting your PS on the board, however.  as others on the board have said before, there is a risk of someone ripping off your work.  just a kindly suggestion, though.
