Minority and Non-Traditional Law Students / Felony and what it means
« on: January 21, 2005, 12:53:02 PM »
I have been on these boards for quite a while.  Many of you know that I had a felony and was facing a very tough time in gaining entrance to law school.

I ended up with a 172 on the LSAt and 4.0 since returning to school

So far I have not been denied anywhere
Baylor
Rutgers (offered 30K)
Tulane (offered 60K)
Miami

I truly believe that a top 15 will let me in.  Many told me that a felon could not make it in law, well I am proof that if you turn your life around our country will give you a second chance.

Studying for the LSAT / Question about yawning
« on: January 10, 2005, 07:42:03 PM »
anyone know where the yawning question comes from, which test?

something like the majority believes that seeing someone  yawn is the main reason that we yawn.  if we believe popular historians of the past they say its true.  Thus, this is the reason why we yawn

the argument is vulnerable to criticism because....

Studying for the LSAT / Felony -
« on: December 13, 2004, 02:42:46 PM »
Today I found out that I was charged with a felony but convicted of a misdemeanor.  In my apps I said I recieved a deferred ajudication termed dangerous drugs.  My charge was the possession of two ounces of marijuana.

Quesion is - should I send an updated addendum to law schools.  Thankfully I never said that this was a felony - I left it open-ended.  I said it was a deferred ajudication.  Problem that I have is that  a commity could read so much different stuff into that.  Then again if I submit an updated addendum - this makes me looks squirrely.  Any advice?

« on: December 08, 2004, 10:45:59 AM »
Are these easy questions?  Im hoping the answer is yes, easy ones don't seem to stick in our heads.

Im still pissed that nobody can remember the "the conclusion follows logically if question"  it was on the 26 question one.

Studying for the LSAT / Following logically if question
« on: December 05, 2004, 01:45:21 PM »
I cannot remmeber the question in detail.  It was on the one with 27 questions between 20-27, very difficult for me to make sense of.

I chose the answer as AJ had instructed.  It was the only answer choice one that had a piece of the conditional reasoning from the conclusion (within the stimulus) within it.

Does this ring any bells?
