Law School Discussion

So I got a call today from a number I didn't recognize. The caller did not leave a message, but when I called the number back, I got the GULC operator. I was just curious if the school has contacted anyone else via phone lately...

Edit: Should I call or email the school tomorrow afternoon, or just disregard unless they try back?

So I just got held at Texas. My numbers are 3.5+/175+. I'm now really worried about my other apps.

Has anyone who applied ED to Texas at or around the deadline (11/1) heard anything yet? I applied 11/1, my report was requested 11/10, and I'm still waiting for a response. I didn't think it was a big deal, but people on LSN who applied at or around this date seem to have already been deferred/admitted.

Does anyone else ever feel screwed that your school did not dole out A-pluses? I rocked so many classes that I'm certain I would have had enough of these to bring my GPA up at least a tenth of a point. If the LSAC is trying to standardize grading scales for admissions purposes, shouldn't they do away with A-pluses? Maybe I'm complaining about something that will prove to be largely irrelevant, but it sure would nice to have a 3.8.

I just finished UT-Austin just before the EA deadline. I forgot how much anxiety goes into obsessively checking these things - followed by even more anxiety once I finally transmit and realize that I'll have to live with any mortifying mistakes I might have made. This process is just so much fun...
