Inspired by this thread: http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,55841.0.html

Except that they have 8 (societies) instead of 4.
Quote from UT website "Students retain their society membership while they are in law school...each society will have members from all three class years."... "Each society has a faculty advisor and a student program coordinator who plan activities for their groups."

They even got Quidditch:
..."In September the societies also had an opportunity to compete against one another in the first-annual Race Judicata: Society Olympics".  :D

« on: December 30, 2005, 11:09:47 PM »
So Duke's deadline is 1/1. Does it mean I can submit it electronically through LSAC any time on that day or before it?  ???
Thanks!

« on: December 29, 2005, 09:37:21 AM »
So I have no idea what to write. Since I did not grow up in the States, I should have a lot to write about but it is not the case. OK, I am from a different background but how am I going to address “how” I am going to contribute to the diversity. Any idea? I am stuck and the deadline is two days away! Really need help!! Thanks a lot!

Studying for the LSAT / self-inflicted pain?
« on: December 22, 2005, 11:30:05 AM »
Maybe all of us should try to convince ourselves that the score will not be here today and go to do other things. If it comes, well, what a surprise. if not, we would save a lot of unnecessary anxieties......... There is nothing we can do about what score we get and when the score will come... Anyway, I am going to have lunch and try to write my PS and tell myself the score WON'T BE HERE TODAY. good luck everyone!

Personal Statements, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation / screwed?
« on: December 15, 2005, 06:49:35 PM »
I asked 3 professors to write me recommendations and they said they had to see my PS before they could start writing one for me. Well, the problem is that I have not started writing my PS yet as of today, Dec. 15. I was hoping to apply for Duke (deadline 1/1)... lol... Maybe I am the slowest person in the world... damn it... Am I totally screwed? Wores still, I am still waiting for my Dec. LSAT score.
