are there any hoosiers here (or people who've moved to indiana) who've gone thru the icleo program in their pursuits of law school? i'm wondering if that's a plausible option for me right now. personally speaking, i think it would be a good starting point for me so i'm not totally surprised on my first day of classes and wouldn't suffer any kind of life altering trauma. lol!

either or...any thoughts?

hi all!

does anybody know how i could locate a tutor in the Phoenix area to help me study for the June test? i think my numbers are okay at the moment (averaging a 152), but i'm really shooting for the 160s and i'd like to get there by may.

so if anybody knows any kind of routes i can take, i'd GREATLY appreciate the advice or help! thanks! ;D

hey all!

does anybody here know about this program in indiana that mimics the ABA's cleo program. has anybody been thru this program or know anybody who has? have you/they benefitted from it? i'd just like to know as much as possible about it; hopefully from someone who's been thru the program.

thanks so much! ;D

does anybody know how that works at all? all i know is that my sister-in-law who's a judge in indianapolis told me to think about that if i decided to apply to any schools in our home state.

can anybody shed some light on this topic and what implications it has on the school i choose and where i eventually end up working? thanks! :)

Law School Admissions / Tillman

hey all...

i just wanted to put something up here for pat tillman, the nfl player who was killed in afghanistan. i'm not sure if a lot of you don't care or think he's just getting a bunch of recognition because he was an NFL player, but i just wanted to make it known that he was a wonderful person who even though i only got to meet (literally) for a second, he was a genuine person and i'm glad i came in contact w/him.

he will definitely be missed and remembered.  :'(

Choosing the Right Law School / LSACD...used?
« on: April 14, 2004, 07:40:20 AM »
hey guys...

i was wondering if anybody actually bought the cd or did the web version of this at the LSAC site? i was thinking of buying the CD for next year's applications, but if it's hard to use/upload/etc. then i'm thinking i might just wait for the web version in september (i think) when it comes out.

thanks for the input!

Law School Admissions / extracurriculars
« on: April 08, 2004, 10:13:30 PM »
here's one for everybody...

does anybody plan on doing any kind of extracurriculars in law school? and this is besides things like moot court or law review or something that's 'expected' of a law student?

i only ask because right now i ballroom/latin dance and compete at it and i'm just thinking of how hard that's gonna be to just drop it since i will have been dancing for 4 (total), competing for 1.5yrs, coaching and tutoring for 1.5 and then just trying to ween myself off for the rest of the time before i go in. *sigh*  :-\ lol sad, i know.

a good part of me wants to at least keep dancing so i never loose my skills that i worked so hard to get and keep sharp, yet the majority of me knows it has to go. lol

so i was just wondering if anybody else was thinking of the 'extras' they're gonna have to possibly 'give up' at least for the first year.

and now, here's another thread for those of you who'd like to take a second to thank th members of these boards! have you gained any insight? made new friends? gotten any help? just wanna comment on the members in general, positively? this is the thread to do it on! :)

i'm gonna start by thanking jgruber because he was nice enough to sell me some much needed study materials for a price i could afford. i'd also like to thank all the people i've had serious discussions with (ex. does race really matter). you've encouraged me to get even farther away from the 'box' than i usually am. lol

and thanks to all the members in general. y'all are great! :)

cheers again,
aj ;D

This thread is for anybody who'd like to thank our awesome administrator, Andrew, for putting this forum together for any and all aspiring and current law students. I have gained an immense amount of knowledge from being a part of all these discussions and have met some wonderful people on here. I've been challenged in my thinking many a time and have been offered some sage advice as well.

So here's my thank you, to you, Andrew. I hope many more people visit here and find the same vast amount of help and info that I have.

Cheers! ;D
