Studying for the LSAT / how should I study for October???
« on: July 01, 2005, 10:48:45 AM »
Hey yall. I took the June 05 and got a 159. This was depressing after practicing at 164-165 consistently. Now I really want to hit my 165 in October to get into my target schools (wake , washington & lee)

I took a weekend prep course, studied the LG Bible, and took tons of practice tests in the 2 months preceding the June 05-

How should I study to best increase my score and make sure I nail a 165? Suggestions?

Law School Applications / Where can I go, i really need advisement-
« on: June 30, 2005, 04:05:28 PM »
Hey all -

I have a 3.75 GPA from the country's best undergrad International Business program (Univ. of South Carolina believe it or not, up on yale, penn etc.)
I double major in real estate.

I hit a 159 on my first LSAT this June.

My ECs are kind of unique, and maybe attention grabbing.
Studied a semester in Chile
Stayed in Chilean home
Completed a full course load in Spanish
Did Marketing Internship in Chile for 5 Months
Started a building renovation and restoration company/business when I was 20
Worked at my business 20+ hrs. weekly to help put myself through school
Managed 2 real estate properties for a private owner all through college for additional income
Started a Christian based outdoor organization at my school. Now in 2nd year, 30+ members.
3 months law firm internship.
Fluent spanish.

My "goal schools" are: Wake and Washington and Lee although i am also looking at Tennessee and Chapel Hill  (NC Resident).

I know my numbers might be off, but will my ECs count for anything? What are my chances at these schools - thank you all

This link will allow you to put in your UGPA and LSAT and let you see what percentage of people they accept with your credentials. Give it a try, its very informative.
