Choosing the Right Law School / Google Maps
« on: February 21, 2006, 06:57:21 AM »
I was shocked to learn how many people don't know about these!

For those heading to completely new areas, or house-shopping from afar, try out the google maps to get a sense of a location without physically being there.
Simply type in the name of a city (Chicago, IL) or an address (123 Main St, Chicago, IL), hit [enter] and click "satellite." You'll get a great satellite image of the area so you can see first hand if there are parks, golf courses, lakes, etc.
**Smaller cities will not have the satellite feature.

Wow .. 123 main St, Chicago, IL really exists  :o

Personal Statements, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation / Length
« on: August 25, 2005, 10:28:12 AM »
What are your opinions on the proper length of a personal statement?  Many schools say less than 2 pages but there are others that say less than 3.  For those schools that do not specify, is three pages too much?  4 is probably a bit too long but I am interested in other thoughts on this.
I now have two PS - one that's 2 pages and one that is 3, so I am wondering which is better to send those schools that do not specify.  I'm leaning towards the longer one.
