Figured some new info might help some people make a decision.  Has updated firm info as well as a whole new layout.

10 years?  15?  20?  Anybody know anything more about this than I do?

I'll be there.  Traveling a long way to get there, too.

I figured it would be helpful to have one thread to list schools where people have appealed their original financial aid offer and actually had it changed.  Let's limit this thread to personal experience (not my buddy's mechanic's girlfriend) in this app cycle.  I'll update this original post to include all the different schools posted in this thread.

Have already changed some offers:

Texas Tech

Have said they would consider other schools' offers:

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Preliminary grant award from UCLA
« on: February 23, 2006, 02:08:06 PM »
Just got an e-mail from UCLA, got about $6,200 a year.  It looks like this is exclusively need-based money, based on the Need Access application.

I guess it's no coincidence that the two schools I haven't heard anything from yet (despite applying by November 2nd at both places) both have new deans of admissions this year.  Duke has actually been OK--I just wish they'd hurry up and reject me already--but if LSN is an accurate indicator of things at Vandy, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having a real problem filling their class for '06.  Anyway, friends, this is the thread where we sit and wait...

I came away from the school VERY impressed.  The building is classic and the professors seemed great (the Civ Pro class we sat in on was excellent), but I was most impressed with the students.  When we were touring the building, several just stopped and talked to us and shared some of their experiences with us.  For all those concerned that ND might be "too Catholic," I would suggest that you don't have much to worry about.  The administration and the career services people seemed willing to bend over backwards to  help with anything they could.  All in all, I think there's a very good chance that I wind up in South Bend come August.  If anybody has any questions, post 'em here.

Law School Admissions / How do you list $$$ on LSN?

I see now when you search applications on LSN there's a new column listing people's $ awards, but how do you get those numbers to appear for your own profile?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Uh, Vanderbilt? Is anybody there?
« on: January 26, 2006, 08:57:55 AM »
I really thought Vandy would have sent out a lot more RD decisions by now.  On LSN it looks like very few have come out over the last week or two, but I expected a lot more considering it's almost February.  Anybody know what's going on in Nashville?
