Studying for the LSAT / Anyone in NYC need a LSAT tutor?
« on: May 02, 2006, 10:11:04 AM »
Lots of experience with results. Low rates for LSDers and first hour free. PM me.

I'll be attending NYU thus Fall and was wondering if it is possible to work as a summer associate in NY during my summers or will I have to go back to Canada to work. I was thinking maybe OPT but I've already used OPT after getting my MA and I know you can reapply for OTP if you are pursuing a "higher" degree.

Incoming 1Ls / Am I screwed for Financial Aid at NYU?

I totally forgot about having to fill out that online form until about a week ago and then quickly filled it in. Will this seriously disadvantage the amount of money I may be offered (not that I'm expecting much). Also, I applied for the Furman and havn't heard back. Could this be a reason?

PM me for info.

General Off-Topic Board / How do I handle this situation?
« on: February 19, 2006, 01:15:02 PM »
About a year ago one of my roommates left and anotehr moved in. The new guy basically had the luxuy of moving into a fully funished apartment, that my old roommmate and I furnished. Anyways I had this frying pan that this dude uses everyday which is now really screwed. So I decide I want to buy a new one and, like the old one, a good one. I find one that I want for 60 and tell the guy we coul split it. At first he agrees and then calls back saying that I should look for a "less high tech" one that is cheaper. I don't think this guy realizes how much money and time I put in for him to live conveniently and he can't even pony up 30 bucks? SO basically I think I'm gonna buy the pan and tell him he is welcome to use the old one but not this one. Is this too passive agressive?

General Off-Topic Board / Steelers will dominate (I hope)

But I must admit, I'm way into Jake Plummer's mountain man look.

I just realized that I've spent about $350 on guitar stuff and have eaten out almost each day since getting into NYU. Talk about counting your eggs before they hatch...
