Just wondering if using an old-school pen and paper to take notes is socially acceptable. I dunno... I think I can write faster than I type, and I don't really want to carry around my computer all day every day...but I don't want to be the only person not using a laptop. anyone else thinking about going this route?

So I decided to live in the Cardozo housing but I am having second thoughts. I jut graduated from college and I really want to live with some of my friends. I also want to try to move in July so I can get used to living in NYC, and the Cardozo housing only opens up mid-august which doesn't give me a lot of time to get settled. I'm also afraid that if I live in the dorm, I will feel like I should constantly be doing work and I'll be stressed all the time. Does anyone have any general advice regarding law school housing?

Anyone going to the mini admitted student thing at Fordham on Monday? I was just in NYC a few days ago checking out Fordham and Cardozo, but I'm thinking of going back for this...and monday is a lot more convenient than wednesday was.

I feel like a lot of other people have this same problem but I am going nuts and really want to decide today. Cardozo offered me $17,500/yr and it looks like they'll give me even more. The money is nice, but my parents have generously agreed to pay for law school and they can afford it without the scholarship. I visited both schools and I like the building and area of Cardozo better, but the people at Fordham seemed cooler which is important because I really want to make a solid group of friends. I'm not sure what type of law I want to practice or where I want to be, so I want the most flexibility I guess, but once I'm in NYC I'll probably stay there. I know I'll get a great education at both schools so I'm mainly trying to figure out where I'll be happier and how much of an edge Fordham has regarding employment. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

This is assuming that I won't get into UCLA or USC (I'm rapidly losing hope).
Pepperdine offered me $23k/yr, and I thought it was gorgeous but I wasn't into the Christian stuff.
Loyola will probably give me a bit of money, but not a lot, and I wasn't crazy about the school's appearance or location.
My parents are paying for LS, so money isn't a huuuuge issue but I'm feeling pretty guilty about the fact that they'll be totally supporting me for another 3 years, so money would be nice in a guilt-reducing kinda way.
oh, and I'm hoping to do biglaw in LA.
any advice? is loyola that much more respected than pepperdine that it's not worth it to take pepperdine's money?
any thoughts are welcome.

On a whim, I'm applying to Fordham, and they ask me to list the other schools I'm applying to...what's up with that? Do I have to list all of them? this is really annoying and i feel like...none of their business!!!

I'm sending an addendum to all the schools that I've already applied to (regarding my two LSAT scores). Do I just put the essay in an envelope and mail it, or should I attach a letter being like "dear so and so admissions office, please add the attached addendum to my file for fall 2006 admissions" or what? can/should i email this?
