Law School Admissions / LSACD question, please help me :-) I'm confused
« on: October 27, 2004, 08:58:00 AM »
Hello everyone,

Is it possible to purchase LSACD on the web and then type in the applications and then print them and send them in the mail? I'm wondering this only because the online apps for schools are in acrobat and I don't think it's possible to type them in. Also, I want to send everything together in one envelope (application, school-specific recommendations).

Best thing is to fill in, print out, send in mail? Or fill out, send electronically and send recommendations separately? My only concern is that it would be better to have the resumes and all that stuff accompanying the application...

Thank you

Studying for the LSAT / What should I do? Postpone?

Hello everyone. I'm in need of some advice, and any would be greatly appreciated.
I just finished taking Testmasters, since July, and these have been my scores...
151, 152, 156, 155, 156, 157, 159, 158, 154, 156, 161 (feb00), and 153 (June 04)
I did not take the June 04 all together, I took them timed, but throughout the day.

I have a 3.3 from NYU, 3.6 in my major, and want to attend schools in the UCONN, Northeastern, Cardozo range...

My best section is games, where I get 1-4 wrong, LR I get anywhere from 7-11 wrong each section, and on RC I get anywhere from 8-14 (On the June 04 -didn't get to the last one) wrong.

I just took a timed LR (Oct 01) and got 11 wrong. My main problem is I narrow it down to 2 and choose the wrong answer. I did that 7 times out of the 11 I just got wrong.

Should I take this test on Saturday and then seeing how I feel cancel it or should I change the date if I can tomorrow and take it in December.

Also, when schools say that the LSAT should be taken BY December 4 for regular admission, do they count the December LSAT?

Thank you.

I was wondering if writing a PS in a dialogue or conversation format would be a bad idea. I'm thinking if it's done creatively it will be intriguing to the reader.

What are your thoughts?

Choosing the Right Law School / What are my chances at...
« on: September 14, 2004, 08:28:37 AM »
Hello everyone, this is my first post and I had a question regarding my chances at some schools...
I graduated from NYU in May, my overall GPA is a 3.3, but my last 3 semesters I had a 3.7.
Also, my major GPA for history is a 3.6, and minor is 3.85...
my overall is low because I was pre-med freshman and sophomore years...

That being said, if I get a 160 on the LSAT what do you guys think my chances would be at
Cardozo, Loyola, Pepperdine, USD, BC, BU, Northeastern, UCONN...or should I apply to schools ranked higher?

I know there is that site that lists your chances, but my circumstances are a little different because of the split in my GPA, and maybe going to NYU helps.

Thank you.

Studying for the LSAT / JUNE or OCTOBER LSAT?
« on: February 26, 2004, 01:53:54 PM »
Hello all,

I am a senior at NYU and I was sure about taking the June LSAT, but I saw my adviser and she said since I'm taking 4 undergrad classes now, it might be better to take the LSAT in October during my year off when I'm working.

My only concern was I wanted to get my applications out early, and I wanted to have a chance to take the LSAT a 2nd time if need be.

What test day is better?
