Choosing the Right Law School / Gonzaga or Case Western??
« on: April 28, 2005, 10:41:50 PM »
This might be a stupid question but its always a tough choice on where to go for a couple reasons. I do not have any money at either place. i really like the pacific northwest and im not a big fan of cleveland. But i wont have mich time to enjoy the outdoors in spokane right???i would like to live on the west coast eventually. im really worried about the median salary at gonzaga since i will be paying out of pocket. With all that being said would it be stupid to pass on such a great school as Case for a tier 3?

I just called Case Western today and they told me my file was on hold. My application did not go complete until March 13ish and my numbers are 3.05 158...not very good i know...but the lady said i was not waitlisted but they are waiting to see how many applications for admission are accepted to see whether or not there is a seat for me. So does this mean its better than being waitlisted or should i just give up hope?

Choosing the Right Law School / Visiting with a pending application??
« on: April 08, 2005, 03:00:23 PM »
I will be visiting my number once choice this upcoming week BUT i have yet to be accepted. I was wondering if this visit might help my chances of being accepted and do you guys think i can do anything while there to help my chances?? My numbers are within the 25/75 percentile but my applications did not go complete until mid march becasue I took the february LSAT. Also do younguys nthink this visit is a good idea at all or is it just over kill?

I need some advice. My number one choice by far is the University of Denver (158/3.1). I took the lsat in feb so my application didnt go complete until march 14th. I was wondering if i should e-mail them askin for the status of my application but at the same time sharing with them my extreme desire to attend their school. It would sound something like this:
Dear Admissions committee
Hey my name is mr.x I would like to check the status of my application. In addition i would like to express that the University of denver is my top choice among the law schools i have applied to. For one i love the city of denver and i look forward to pursuing your wonderful corporate law program. I am so committed to attending the university of denver upon a acceptance letter my seat deposit would be immediate. Thank you for your time and if there is anything i can do to help you in the decision please let me know.

Needless to say i might be desperate but hey i cant help it.
thanks for any input

stupid question im sure but what is the difference
