General Off-Topic Board / New Rule:

You cannot rightly claim to be the true guardians of U.S. national security when you provide a nuclear cookbook to any idiot out there with an internet connection and reading knowledge of Arabic.

The photo and the headline go perfectly together, since cherry blossoms are a commonly used symbol of impermanence.

I wonder if AP/Yahoo! News planned this, or is this just really great irony.   ::)

Politics and Law-Related News / I weep for my country ...

...when I see stuff like this happening here (again).   I had hoped that, if we had not completely eliminated these kinds of attitudes, that we had at least marginalized them so much as to no longer be acceptable in public discourse (let alone the local seats of power), that we had relegated them to the private ramblings of madmen.  Sadly, I appear to be mistaken.  :'(

WTF?!

http://www.talk2action.org/story/2006/5/29/195855/959

This is the kind of thing that makes all those paranoid warnings on the left about a proto-fascist movement coming about seem, well, not quite as paranoid as it appears at first blush.

And once again, will these people stop identifying themselves as religious people!  They're making religious people, like me, look stupid.  And downright scary.    :-[
