Choosing the Right Law School / UCLA or UT-Austin?
« on: April 04, 2005, 11:00:45 AM »
I really need some help on this one.  I was accepted to UCLA almost 4 months ago so I was really getting psyched to go there.  But..I just received the acceptance from UT today, and now I have no idea.  I have no regional ties to either area.  Ideas anyone?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / In at UT Austin

Got the thin envelope (wtf?) today.  This makes my decision a lot more difficult.  Non-resident, #s on LSN.

Choosing the Right Law School / Still pending at Univ of Texas?
« on: March 22, 2005, 07:22:45 PM »
I've been complete since mid-november and still no word from UT.  Are they still giving out positive decisions?

Boalt sent my letter home for some reason and my parents neglected to send me it or tell me about it until today when I received it in the mail from them.  I thought I was actually in consideration! But no, rejection letter dated March 1st! F Boalt

Choosing the Right Law School / Why T14?
« on: March 12, 2005, 12:36:52 AM »
Is T14 simply a creation of LSD?  Or does the educational quality, job prospects, etc. really take a sudden nosedive after g'town? I'm essentially wondering, why the cutoff after the T14?  Is this completely arbitrary or are there good reasons to separate G'town and up from UT and down?

Why do I spend so much time on LSD? I read threads that I have already read numerous times.  I will leave LSD but then return 5 minutes later and browse the same threads. Who else suffers from this addiction or am I just a skilsaw? (see michiganiscold's thread)

I notice on LSN that a lot of people who were accepted to Cornell have ranked it as like their 6th-10th choice. If you don't plan on attending please withdraw so that others can have an opportunity. Please?? Thanks.

For the past 2 or 3 weeks my mailman hasn't delivered mail to anyone in my apartment building on saturdays.  wtf?? I feel like I should call the post office and complain.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Choosing the Right Law School / Does UCLA have a national reputation?
« on: February 23, 2005, 06:58:55 PM »
Looking at UCLA's graduate statistics, I notice that the vast majority of graduates from UCLA practice in California (88%).  Is this simply because graduates cannot resist the lucrative job market in L.A. or because UCLA does not carry a national reputation?  Thanks.
