So I have mixed emotions about going to Hastings...so I schedule a visit hoping that once I walked onto campus I would fall in love......

didn't happen. Although, my tour guide was quite informative and seemed to be so happy at Hastings (actually she eventually chose to go to Hastings after accepting to go to USC and withdrew from Hastings) she was also very nice. So it is only 3 buildings and the area hmmm very similar to Berkeley but less enclosed and it didn't smell like PISS though. I am use to homeless and not the best surroundings...but for some reason when it is in the big city of SF it is much worse...The Tower (housing) smelled and the gym was pretty shappy...I am use to my nice RSF with the best cardiokick boxing classes taught by the hottest 3L at Boalt....The library wasn't so great but the Gold room was nice....ohh and they are going to be renovating the library so after my first year it will get better right??? She did tell me how engaging the professors are and told me the competition is really more internal than external, which was slightly a relief. Also it seemed very social they have these Beer on the Beach every other thursday event...sounds fun...I wanted to live in the Tower but the smell and the gym is making me want to just live around campus like nob hill or pacific heights very nice areas of SF that might help me feel better about the school hehe....She said a lot of people are married though so hmmm but as expected large gay population good for me = P hmmm what else...it seemed very secure security always on guard...the classrooms are nice (somewhat)....government buildings are very close by and those are very nice buildings...She also said they are pretty good about financial aid and about 80% get some kind of grant that's good. The sections are split into 85 people which is pretty small I think even if its a total of 430 or so 1L's. So general feeling wasn't really feeling the school...could probably learn to love it...because that's the kind of person Iam...but slightly hoping for other acceptances even if it's looking bleak....Oh and anyone applying to Tony Patino only 3 people get it hehe so its pretty competitive. I think I really just want to live somewhere besides the Bay Area and this was my ticket....Wisconsin or bust??? lol not sure yet
