Choosing the Right Law School / Case scholarships
« on: April 13, 2005, 02:09:01 PM »
So, I got offered $11K/year at Case.  I took no action on it, and the scholarship acceptance deadline was 4/1, so I assumed it was all over.

But this afternoon I got an e-mail from the Dean, saying that I had been selected for a scholarship increase.  What the e-mail did NOT say was how much of an increase they want to give me.  I called, but she was not in the office.

Ahhhhhhh.  This is aggravating!  I've already sent my deposit into Ohio State, but if Case offers me a significant amount, I might just have to take them up on it, because I might not be able to justify not taking a huge scholarship.

Does anyone have any experience with this?  Did anyone get a similar e-mail from Case, with a dollar amount included?  Someone - help!

Has anyone decided to attend THE Ohio State University in the fall!  I have.  I want to talk about apartments and stuff.  Anyone out there?

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Tulane visits?
« on: February 24, 2005, 09:33:36 AM »
Is anyone planning on visiting Tulane/has anyone visited already?  Flights from Chicago suck right now, so I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it or not.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Choosing the Right Law School / Silly question re: Ohio State
« on: February 14, 2005, 10:17:27 AM »
I've decided to go to the upcoming Scholarship Weekend at OSU.  I know the invitation includes one guest, but what I am wondering is this: 1) are any of you planning on attending this weekend, and 2) if you are, are you bringing someone, and 3) if you're bringing someone, who is it?  Family member?  Friend?

Basically, I can't decide if it would be acceptable for me to go alone.  Any input would be appreciated.

Choosing the Right Law School / Hold status at Wisconsin

Has anyone else been placed "on hold" at University of Wisconsin?  I know that it means that I'll either get in or get placed on the waitlist, but I'm wondering how good my chances actually are.  Does anyone know anything about this?
