Incoming 1Ls / Bought a house in Memphis (Collierville)
« on: April 20, 2006, 09:47:19 AM »

i just bought a house for law school, 3200 square feet, 5 bed 3 bath with a pool in a very nice neighborhood.  It appraised @243, got it for 200---guy had to leave in a hurry for a job. So if any Memphis student need a room let me know,  The house is in Collierville, so I can still go to Ole Miss if I get off of their waitlist.

Law School Admissions / Chiashu makes me sad
« on: January 09, 2006, 09:54:08 AM »
With my paltry numbers:

Memphis  87% in 2002 46% in 2004
Ark Little Rock 96% in 2002 50% in 2004
Ark Fayetteville 94% in 2002 44% in 2004
Univ of Mississippi 72% in 2002 24% in 2004

50% or less at all my schools, guess I better start producing again at work since I might be here for longer than I thought.

Hopefully this year's numbers will be dummied down a little since the economy is better. ;D

Studying for the LSAT / Forget the scale on practice tests
« on: January 04, 2006, 06:40:44 AM »
I wouldn't even worry about the scaled score on practice tests, I think the older scales are outdated and serve no purpose other than to give you a false sense of where you are.

Studying for the LSAT / Do you have to inform schools of retake?

I might be retaking the LSAT in Feb, do I have to let the schools I've applied to know that I am retaking?

Studying for the LSAT / Retake Dilemma
« on: January 01, 2006, 12:53:55 PM »
I got a 154 (3.36 gpa) on the 12/03 LSAT which puts me about 50/50 at all the schools I am applying (Arkansas, Memphis, Arkansas Little Rock).  I am pretty sure I can do better on the retake, as this was the lowest I have scored since I first started practice tests.  A couple of points higher and I know I'll be accepted, with my present score its a crapshoot.  I really hate the idea of retaking though, I am so over this damm test.  I am inclined to just roll the dice and see what happens.  What would you guys do if you were 50% at all your schools?  And adding other schools aren't an option for me right now.
