I started 1L thinking I would try to transfer to a higher ranked school, but given the time it took for grades to post and lack of time due to my summer associate position I would be the very last transfer applicant @ most schools. I know that some schools allow spring transfers and wanted to see if anyone knew of the T14 that would allow a spring transfer? My plan would be to continue at my school for fall semester and try to transfer in the spring or work in the legal position I have now which would allow for a fair amount of work exp(taking a leave of absence for fall semester from my current school) and hope to transfer in the spring as a 2L. My 1L grades are pretty legit(A,A,A,A,B+,C-the bush league grade ending what could have been a phenomanal year).
any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I most likely will be moving into a two bedroom apartment in Boston. It is $2200 amonth(1100 a person), how does this compare to the lving situation of others in the area?It is a gorgeous brownstone and seemed expensive at first, but after seeing what $1800 will get you, this seems like a deal. What do you think average utilities will be?

I have a hard time turning down a full ride at suffolk in a city that i love. I am also a rankings slut and would love to attend a higher ranked school, but would rather not pay 150,000. IS it ok if i punish my ego for a bit, go to a lower ranked school and have little to no debt post j.d? On the other hand should I sack up and undertake a financial burden in order to appease the prestige whore in me?

Any news on vandy? Iíve been looking around for the last couple of days and have heard little on lsd. I checked lsn and it seems like many are still pending. In the last month there have been 11 waitlists, and 2 rejections. The last two acceptances were a little over a month ago. I am hoping this is the big week? Any feedback out there?

I have a friend who goes to Suffolk and loves it. She turned down wake and American for it (massive $$$$ and loves Boston), and she seems to be very pleased with her decision. I have heard things all over the place about the school. Anyone have some light to shed? I have done a couple of searches and came up with posts about some idiot lawyer berating a firm in an email, and heard it does very well in Boston. I will most likely be somewhere else, but I love the idea of Boston and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Would anyone like to contribute to the top 5 reasons to go Suffolk and top 5 to stay away?
5.Nantucket reds are acceptable

how serious are cooley's rankings? Would anyone ever consider these as an alternative to US news?I am just wondering because it puts some schools I have thought about attending much higher than us news(mainly suffolk).
