I've been trying to call for the last few days and haven't been able to get anything other than an answering machine. Curious when letters are being mailed since admit weekend is a week from tomorrow. Does anyone know if letters are in the mail?
I can't find the old thread on this although I know there was some discussion last week about when UNC would come out w/ decisions. It sounds as if the admissions office is a bit behind -- does anyone still think we'll hear by the stated March 1st deadline? I'm going nutty waiting...
So my status at Fordham is pended. WTF does this mean?!? I applied early and was deferred until regular decision. The letter I received Monday expressly stated that it wasn't a waitlist, however, I have to mail a card in to tell them if I want them to review my application again, etc. Did anyone else get this/have a better understanding?

I am a Republican and have been extremely involved in working on the 2004 campaign, chairing a CR chapter at my school, interning in the White House, etc. but at the advice of my prelaw advisor I minimalized all of these activities in my applications because "most law schools are liberal, if you're a borderline candidate, it could hurt you." after being WL at Notre Dame, however, I have written a letter highlighting these experiences to go along w/ my request to be placed on the waitlist, knowing that ND is a conservative school. Do you think a letter of this caliber would be helpful at the other schools I am waiting to hear from (WLU, W&M, Chapel Hill, Duke, etc.) or just send it to the more conservative ones (W&M, WLU?) or not send it at all... please help!
