« on: February 28, 2005, 03:48:40 PM »
I just got into Loyola LA and probably won't be going there unless they give me big scholarship package. How do I convey this to them? Should I meet with someone there, etc?

Very excited...applied 2 weeks ago so I'm very surprised!!! 3.84/167

Still waiting on all the others...but very happy right now!

I applied about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to send a diversity statement at the time but didn't cuz I just wanted to get the apps out already. Is it a bad idea to do one and send it now as an update to my file?

Where should I go next fall? / How do you know when you're complete?
« on: January 18, 2005, 10:23:03 PM »
I applied to these 9 schools:
UCLA, USC, Loyola (l.a.), Boalt, NYU, Columbia, Stanford, Harvard, GTown.

Gtown lets you see your status online. But for the rest of them, how doI know when I am complete and all that? Everyone on LSN and here seem to know the exact dates of all this stuff, but other than Harvard I haven't received any sort of email from any of these schools.

I need a few good reasons for why i left my past jobs. any suggestions? i don't want to say stuff like "left for school" or "tired of the crap work"

Personal Statement / Diversity Statement
« on: January 04, 2005, 09:52:50 PM »
I sent in my apps today and am now thinking about doing a div stmt. Are there any guidlines for this? Do most people do 1 page? What have people been writing about?

Right after I transmitted to UCLA I realized that the dates i put for my summer job (06/08 2000) were the same as my dates studying in Spain. I meant to put '01 for the summer job - now it looked like i was studying in Spain and working at the bank at the same time. i called LSAC and they said once its transmitted thats it. so at this point i don't know if i should go about contacting UCLA and sending a correction, or just letting it go by without drawing more attention to it. i would appreciate any advice! thanks,
