Where should I go next fall? / Is it T14 or T20?

What are people's impressions of the Top 20 or 25 versus the elite group of 14.  Specifically, is Vanderbilt a national power w/good alum network etc.?

Vandy's the best I got into (barring a miracle from NYU)

Law School Applications / What Would You Do?
« on: January 23, 2005, 09:04:24 PM »
I know this a self-centered post but anyone who wants to comment, I would appreciate any helpful feeback and/or opinions.

I have a 165 and 3.6 in Accounting from U. of Washington (Seattle).  I really want a warm weather climate and I have become especially partial to the San Diego area.  I know USD is a decent school but does anyone know anything about Thomas Jefferson and California Western?  I am confident I would be in the running for full scholarships at TJ and CW but not USD.

How important is the prestige of a law school versus the burden of debt after school and earning potential straight out of LS?  I am mulling this over as the application deadline looms.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Law School Applications / Question about Work Experience
« on: December 13, 2004, 03:44:04 AM »
Hi all,

I am applying to LS over winter break and took the LSAT just on Dec 4.  So, I am not familiar with the application process yet, but I have read about an emphasis being placed on work experience.  The schools get a transcript, LSAT score, letters of recommendation, etc. but how are you supposed to convey to them Work experience?  In the personal statement?  Is it on the application? Or do I submit a resume?  I have good work experience but not continuously full time, as it was always interrupted by the school year.  I am a traditional UG student (22 years old).
